ChildAid to Eastern Europe asked Greg Davies to act as our charity fundraiser auctioneer at a recent society golf day.

As a small niche charity working with children and families in crisis in eastern Europe, raising our profile and funds is not easy and it was important for the auction to raise expectation and buzz in the room to maximise the fundraising potential.

We were down a few in number and so we were a little concerned that the prizes on offer would not attract the type of income we were hoping to generate. We did not need to be concerned.

Greg was able to take a commanding position within the room, with a loud clear voice, humour and a demonstration of a passion for our cause. It is of course impossible to say how much Greg "added" to the pot, but without question the final takings were far more than the anticipated levels for pretty much every one of the 11 items (plus an extra one Greg pulled out of the bag through creating such an enthusiastic air in the room).
